Storymaking in Gateshead

On the 25th of July, in the middle of a nationwide heatwave. We ran a Storymaking workshop at the Open University offices in Gateshead.

What with this being the most northerly Storymaking walk yet, I decided to travel up the day before. When I got to Huntingdon train station I was given some inside information as to why my tickets to Newcastle never work in the automatic barriers.

While on the train I hung my Mifi from a little sucker on the window. This ensures I have the best 3G-to-wifi signal when in transit.

Sometimes the sockets on trains don’t work or haven’t been switched on. It’s good practise to have your own mobile power.
Someone forgot to turn on the sockets on the train. Using the Powermonkey Extreme instead. #ou_msw
Soon enough I arrived in sunny Newcastle. Which was good because i’d only packed shorts and sandals.

That said, while crossing the bridge into Gateshead I could see a storm approaching.

I hurried to the hotel.. And the rains arrived.
Watching torrential rain from my hotel window and considering my decision to pack only shorts & sandals. [pic]:

After the rain passed i headed out.
