Storymaking in Gateshead
On the 25th of July, in the middle of a nationwide heatwave. We ran a Storymaking workshop at the Open University offices in Gateshead.

What with this being the most northerly Storymaking walk yet, I decided to travel up the day before. When I got to Huntingdon train station I was given some inside information as to why my tickets to Newcastle never work in the automatic barriers.

While on the train I hung my Mifi from a little sucker on the window. This ensures I have the best 3G-to-wifi signal when in transit.

Sometimes the sockets on trains don’t work or haven’t been switched on. It’s good practise to have your own mobile power.

Soon enough I arrived in sunny Newcastle. Which was good because i’d only packed shorts and sandals.

That said, while crossing the bridge into Gateshead I could see a storm approaching.
